Please check out the complete up-to-date website on this sizzling project: www.heddaqueenofhollywood.com This is the ultimate vehicle for Jill's writing, performing, producing, and designing talents. There are 18 songs, the majority of which are completely written by Jill...lyrics AND music...with the occasional composing help from her illustrious arranger, Howard Pfeifer (www.pfeifermusic.com). Jill has also written the script (known as "the book" for a musical). The projected staged readings for Hedda! Queen of Hollywood are scheduled for early 2013 in Chicago.
She has created and developed a sitcom as a vehicle for her comedic acting and singing talents with creator/writer/director, Toby Hamilton, and writer, Regan Henson. It cleverly intertwines elements from her real life as a cabaret singer/host/voice teacher set in the Chicago night life district.
Jill conceived and has collaborated on a new Broadway bound musical play (as a vehicle for her singing and acting talents) with Erv Raible (head writer) since 2004. "Wallis and Edward, the love story Century?" (www.wallisandedward.com) presents an historically accurate, humorous, yet dark telling of the scandalous affair that rocked the world in the 1930s - between the twice divorced American socialite, Wallis Warfield Simpson, and the world's most eligible bachelor, King Edward VIII, formerly the most popular Prince of Wales in history. It is nearly completed and they are actively seeking funding for this hot, Broadway bound property...as a stage OR film project.
She has recently finished creating and collaborating on a screenplay with head writer Todd Cook. "Stringendo" unfolds the parallel stories of Johann Sebastian Bach and Frederick the Great who have a one time encounter at the Potsdam Palace in Germany. Their meeting in 1757 is considered the instant in history where the ancient belief driven philosophy collided with intellect...the genesis of the Age of Enlightenment...the turning point between the ancient and modern world. The treatment of the screenplay is similar in style to the mega hit "Amadeus"...only truthful AND humorous...with the sublime music of Bach as the fabric of the film...and the score was created by Jill! There is also an Italian translation available created by Andrea Bini for the Italian born Academy Award winning director/writer Giuseppe Tornatore ("Cinema Paradiso" and "The Legend of 1900").
